God’s Body cannot be made of material particles, for its unity would be impaired, and the material world without an underlying unity principle could not cohere.
God’s body is, therefore, an indiscrete X, not perceptible by material organs of sense. The term ‘discrete’ is from a root ‘to divide’, ‘separate’.
Sentiency (which is not discrete) is the only way of becoming aware of God’s body.
Sentiency = field awarenessAwareness is derived from the Old English “waer”, “cautious”. It is cognate with the Latin vereri, “to observe anxiously”. To be wary is to be on guard in feeling, to be watchful. Awareness, then, we might say, carries with it a sense of being on guard.
