That which precedes the prime unity.
Prime unity, `oneness’, is a concept derived from the contemplation of a plurality held together as a whole in the mind.
‘Duality’ is a concept derived from the breaking of an observed unity.
Non-duality transcends oneness.
Non-dualism (Advaita) is not Monism.
Monism is the doctrine that the ultimate reality is only substance, whether this substance is conceived as matter or spirit.
